The staff at River of Hope Ranch work closely together to provide a safe, positive, and empowering environment for those who visit the Ranch. We are dedicated to helping those in need achieve their goals and build a brighter future.

Josie Muterspaw, Co-Founder, Clinical Counselor, Licensed Equine-Assisted Pyschotherapist

Josie is the Co-Founder and Clinical Director for the Ranch. She received her Masters degree from the University of Dayton and is licensed as a Professional Clinical Counselor. She has undergone extensive training and has completed certification from EAGALA, the Equine-Assisted Growth & Learning Association, which is recognized as the leader in educating and certifying professionals in this field. Josie has been servicing the mental health needs of children, adolescents, and their families for over five years. She desires to give hope to the hurting by helping the youth of today see their potential in Christ.

Marne Baltes, Co-Founder, Executive Director

Marne is the Co-Founder and Executive Director for the Ranch. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Marketing from BGSU. She has over twelve years of advertising experience focusing on strategic planning and business development. Marne is also certified through EAGALA in Equine-Assisted Growth and Learning programs. Marne’s passion is for single moms and abused women.

Jody Morris, Cross Creek Owner and Director of Equine Activities and Property Management

Jody is the Director of Equine Activities and Property Management for the Ranch. She have over 16 years of equine experience. She owns and operates Cross Creek Stables where she offers natural horsemanship based lessons, camps and clinics. Jody is also fully certified as an Equine Specialist as a practice in Equine-Assisted Counseling and Growth & Learning through EAGALA.

Mark Morris, Cross Creek Owner, Board Member

Mark and Jody own the beautiful farm in which the ranch operates on – Cross Creek Stables. There generosity and passion for God’s purpose, have given many ministries the opportunity to bloom.

Dr. Steve Miller, Veterinarian and Board Member

Dr. Miller is a graduate of the OSU College of Veterinary Medicine in 1972. He has been in private practice for 35 years with an equine emphasis. Dr. Steve Miller has 47 years of horse experience. Dr. Steve’s passion is lifestyle evangelism and has dedicated his practice to doing God’s work through veterinary medicine.

Linda Miller, Board Member

is a graduate of OSU and has a BA in Elementary Education. Linda has a passion for hurting kids and will serve River of Hope Ranch as our intercessory prayer leader.
